Resume
Experience - Last 5 years
June 2022 - Dec 2022
COMMERCIAL LEAD
Agility Alliance (Morrison Water Services / Murphy JV)
London
Responsible for the commercial performance of the Developer Services contract with Thames Water in South London. While leading a team of 5 assistant QS’s and commercial administrators, I introduced new processes to ensure that cashflow was improved, aged WIP reduced, and systems reconciled correctly. I ensured that CVR reporting was accurate and communicated effectively to inform decision making by senior management.
Jan 2019 - June 2019 & Sep 2020 - May 2022
QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Kier Highways
Surrey
Picked up commercial responsibility for a challenging highways work-stream for Surrey County Council. I negotiated contentious subcontract final accounts and created reports that pinpointed where cash recovery from the client was falling short. I was invited back to manage capital delivery projects of various sizes and to assist the close-out of the framework contract.
June 2019 - Sep 2020
SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
SMB (Skanska, Balfour Beatty, Mott MacDonald JV)
London
Managed the final year of the AMP 6 water mains rehabilitation work covering Thames Valley. A key element of this role was producing and communicating VOWD reports and forecasts and managing the close-out of subcontract packages. Following a review of project positions and the programme, a risk pot was allocated and drawn down during the close-out of the portfolio of works. This ensured that there were no late commercial "surprises", which was essential at the project close-out stage.
June 2017 - Dec 2018
SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Agility Alliance (Morrison Water Services / Murphy JV)
London
Oversaw commercial function of the Trunk Main Leakage Planned and Reactive work-streams and the Minor Capital Works work-stream for Agility Alliance. This included work on a re-structure within the Infrastructure Alliance Joint Venture at a time of significant change within the organisation, moving away from the previous alliance focused model towards a more traditional “Client-Contractor relationship”. This included helping to introduce new processes and oversee a small team of quantity surveyors (assistant, intermediate and senior QS). Project values across the portfolio ranged significantly, from <£1k to >£1m in value.
