My experience within this sector has involved working for main contractors and subcontractors on framework contracts where local authorities are the end client.  Exposure to these contracts has shown that an organised and collaborative approach can drive results.  I have experience working with bespoke, FAC-1 and NEC forms of contract in this industry.

Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW)

I am proficient in using the MCHW to prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for a variety of highway projects. I am also experienced in using the MCHW to analyse BoQs and identify potential cost savings.

  • Attending joint site visits with the client and other relevant stakeholders for re-measurement works, taking a proactive approach in coordinating these meetings and following up on any action items identified

  • Identifying and resolving key issues.

  • Agreeing wrap-up final accounts across multiple projects with both the client and supply-chain to increase efficiency.
